I do get where some of these are coming from, because I also had interests and an aesthetic that didn’t jive with what * all * the girls were doing/wearing when I was a young…and when you are young, there is always an unspoken pressure to fit in…but it is never a case of “either/or”. People just have preferences, and one way of being is not “better” than any other.
